I've just received a food aid voucher in the post for £75 for my 16 year old to help with the cost of food during the summer holidays as part of their "Covid Local Support Grant". I am amazed as prior to today, I haven't had any financial assistance with free school meals because I was a home educating parent in the last 2 years - must be linked the fact that I am in receipt of council tax reduction. It's a voucher, rather than cash and can only be used on food so there is some attempt at social control there, but regardless it will be a massive help. I am overjoyed.
