What difference to your life has the extra £20 per week made, and what difference would it make if it was taken away?: "To be honest I didn't notice the uplift as my WTC renewal somehow meant that I was worse off anyway even with an uplift. Not sure how this was possible as I earned less than the year before. I never know how this is worked out and the calculations are so complex that it is designed to be tricky and hazy so you don't have the confidence to question it. There are also so many horror stories about UC that I fear any contact or communication about WTC, just incase I have to swap over. We could not survive 5 weeks without any WTC and that basically scares me into avoiding any contact at all even if it could potentially be in my favour. The worst thing about not just being able to earn enough money to live on is that you are always in fear of benefits dropping or being taken away without understanding why or being able to do anything about it. This will be everyones worst nightmare."
