Q. How have you been managing with the additional costs of winter?
Our gas and electricity is on a fixed monthly bill. It does not fluctuate and I believe we’re fortunate not to have a top up prepayment meter. I have always bought clothing slightly bigger for my eldest boy. I have relied on expensive credit to clothe him at times. Clothing is passed down from one child to the next, so spending is minimal for my youngest. I don’t worry about toys and other belongings. The boys have what they need through gifts by relatives. They’ve also received gifts through charities.
