Q. What are your reflections from a year like no other?
I had hoped that the pandemic would trigger some real changes, more empathy and more support for low income families. But if anything it's shown me that while more people do care and have empathy, it's not enough unless the people in power do. And they have proven time and time again that they don't care about the people, especially not low income families. Only about their pockets, their profits, their egos.
