My 15yr old daughter was sent home to isolate on the Thursday before half term so the only impact has been mentally.
We were due to go away and stay in my parents’ new caravan for 3 nights so obviously we couldn’t do this. The younger two children were very disappointed as it had felt like a beacon of light in this particularly dark time.
I’m starting to worry about the frequent use of the central heating. Fortunately we are quite a cool family and don’t need the house to feel like a sauna, I put it on to take the chill out of the air. However, my utility company announced a price rise and the fact that I am always at home means there is more opportunity to be switching it on.
