Q. With these new changes to Universal Credit coming in, what do you think about this focus on helping working families?
While I appreciate how amazing it is that those who are in work are now able to receive greater earnings, this does nothing to address the thousands of people who may not be in work for a variety of reasons, through no fault of their own.
The government are failing to understand that everyone has suffered in light of this pandemic, particularly those out of work and more support is desperately needed for them. The mindset about unemployment needs to change and we need to support people in their hour of need regardless of their employment status because people are people, humanity means being there for ALL people
