It's important to me that we hold those that govern us to account. To potentially be able to influence government policy towards being more equitable, compassionate is an exciting prospect. It gives my life meaning and purpose to campaign for those who feel unable to speak up for themselves, many of whom don't realise how shabbily they are being treated by the current and previous governments. I don't do it for reward or recognition - just to try make a difference.
