So hurray for the huge u-turn on providing free school meals over the holidays, but it’s now 1.5 weeks away and I have no information regarding how to access them. School is waiting on the council, and the council haven’t released any info yet.
I know that these things probably take a fair bit of organising, but I’m getting really fed-up of this attitude towards low-income groups. We deserve the same level of common courtesy as everyone else. It’s not okay to leave telling us things to the last second. It’s not okay to not bother informing us. It’s not okay to provide a service badly and expect us to be grateful. We are not second class citizens.
