Covid has a lot to answer for including getting parents in trouble with their child's primary school. I have a very fractured parent/principal relationship with my sons primary school principal as I have challenged a few things he has done in the past. Yesterday he phoned to say I've refused 5 meetings with him. I told him that I had Covid and that it was a pandemic and there were other ways to hold a meeting instead of me putting my health at risk by being in a school building. It's horrible to think of the lack of empathy and compassion a professional has towards a person who was genuinely ill from Covid. It's a shame really that Covid is to blame for his harsh call yesterday and inability to go to meeting because of it.
