Just listened to the link you posted for the radio 4 segment. Beautifully put together with words from Ruth and diary accounts from Dorothy. I’m part of the project but my heart just aches for Dorothy. So many variables that people not living this life have no idea about - being forced to buy more expensive, less quality food because it’s safer to go a shorter distance to a smaller shop. I want the people in power to really listen to these accounts but I have no doubts that they truly don’t care. Their policies reflect the lack of humanism they possess. COVID literally magnified the inequalities but there won’t be any additional support offered under this government.
