We're in tier four now. Which I don't mind but schools are still open, people still got to work or look for work, not gonna be enough to be in tier four with so many places still open that allow mixing. Wouldn't mind being in tier four if I actually thought it'd help. Looks to me it's more of a way to punish the poor and make us to blame for it spreading when so few of us have a choice but to keep doing out. I'm lucky, I can shield and have a slight security if universal credit (unless you count the ever present fear of sanctions or errors), but others not so much
