Through my time studying at school, college and university, I’ve learnt that the media is a source of information you can not fully trust as it is easily manipulated to serve the individuals in charge. It’s like magazine models - they are curvy, toned and without a flaw in the magazine but, in reality, they have stretch marks, wrinkles, jiggly belly, etc. As for the government, I find that they too can often manipulate the situation for their own personal gain. I’ve kinda learnt over time that you no longer elect a government because of trust, it’s more that you choose the government based on who you least think will likely harm society.
