Universal Credit has put us into debt as we are paid in arrears. I’ve been in my overdraft ever since. The bank increased the interest on my overdraft, upping it from 18.9 percent to 39.9 percent earlier this year. The news of the upcoming increase for some on UC has been published. Yet again the capped group have been overlooked. From what I can see, we are a group who will be swept under the carpet. I’d also like to mention there’s to be an increase of payments to the government for those whose awards are deducted for historical benefit overpayments and for rent/utility arrears. We already live on the periphery. How we will survive, I don’t know...
