One of the face book groups I’m on about saving money a girl had written a status today about her friend that was working earning £1000 a month and what percent of that wage goes on what bills. She asked did anyone have any idea at what percent the government thought we paid of our bills out of our benefits. Started me thinking how someone say in a room and thought £316 a month is enough for a single person to live on. I know when I was working and receiving tax credits I felt like I was rich. I was able to go out at the weekend and buy new clothes. Felt a bit like money didn’t matter because I had it. So how can someone that earns upwards of £30,000 a year think in this day and age that Uc is enough for people to live on.
