So the £20 Covid payment has stopped and a lump sum of £500 went into the bank so the Working Tax Credit is now back at £12 a week. Not sure why they think paying it in a lump sum is right and wonder why they didn’t give people a choice. Yet on Universal Credit they still get the £20 weekly very bizarre! We as a family would be better off not getting Working Tax Credit as that stops us been entitled to free school meals yet we pay over triple the amount they give us WTC on school meals. Really makes me wonder how many more people don’t get free school meals due to a tiny amount of working tax credits!
