I know to a lot of people £20 seems like nothing but to me it is HUGE. With my daughter just starting her 1st year of secondary school I am financially struggling. The uniform grant of £75 barely covered the price of a school blazer. She isnt elligible for a bus pass as we only live 2.8 miles from the school not 3 which is the requirement. It should be means tested NOT miles tested. UC does not consider these extrs costs and its been really tough especially with Christmas fast approaching.
