Q. What's happened to your spending since Covid hit?
I can relate to both parts of this video!
Initially in the first couple of months of the original lockdown, I spent a lot less. I wasn’t buying fuel that often as the car wasn’t being used. We had been told to be very cautious about contamination of surfaces so I wasn’t buying online for fear of what came through the door. And generally most places were closed so there wasn’t the opportunity spend.
However, as things started to reopen and confidence grew, my spending has massively increased for online purchasing. We are also buying an increasing number of takeaways, which are, rightly or wrongly, being used to brighten our day for something different / a treat.
Since October, I have been Xmas shopping so it feels like spending has been frequent and a lot.
