How has the extra £20 a week helped?: "It’s helped in that we are £80 less over our monthly budget. It gets sucked into the deficit. It definitely helps, but we don’t notice it as an actually extra £20 to spend. So if someone high up is feeling all smug that the poor folk can give themselves a treat, then they would be sorely mistaken. I think it should be permanent. I think they should increase UC anyway. I think there should be a universal basic income."
