I’m so cross with my daughters school. They do absolutely zero to stop children with less money feel othered. Recently they were raising funds and gave us the opportunity to purchase a mug with our child’s drawing on it. I didn’t order one, we don’t have the money to spare. Yesterday my 5 yr old came home crying because every single other child in her class was given a mug at home time and she didn’t have one. Why oh why couldn’t they give them out discreetly!
