Old memories of being domestically abused have resurfaced - particularly that of control and coercion. My son’s Dad would lock me in the house to prevent me from leaving when I felt under threat from him. Although I didn’t go out much before lockdown due to disability, at least I could choose when and where I could go. Now it is proscribed and I’m finding that aspect hard - it has definitely affected my mental health negatively, despite already taking long term antidepressants.
