I’m a researcher and I live in York with my husband John, a cat and a very silly dog called Frank. I’m originally from Lancashire so during lockdown I have missed being able to visit friends and family there. I’m married to a pub landlord (though my pint pouring skills leave something to be desired!) and the community there is a big part of our lives too, so it has been tough not being able to see everyone over the past year. My main hope for the project is that it enables parents and carers to come together to share experiences and to have a voice. We have an opportunity now to learn from the pandemic and to better support families as we move forwards, and I hope that Covid Realities will be part of that conversation.
